[A Japanese man murders his lover's husband and sets fire to the house in conspiracy with the lover]

A news article on January 27th in 2021 reported that a trial has begun on a murder and arson case of a man killing his lover's husband and setting fire to the house in conspiracy with his lover. In February 2016, a house was on fire in Aichi Prefecture in Japan, and the 60 year-old owner of the house, Koji Kakuta, was found dead in the house. An autopsy concluded that the victim was stabbed to death, and his 53 year-old wife, Yoko Sugai, and her 66 year-old lover, Tsutomu Asano were pointed out as suspects of the crime.

One of the most serious problems of infidelity is that infidelity may lead to crimes. Many crime cases are associated with infidelity all around the world. Most of all, family members of people in infidelity are exposed to the danger of crimes as in the case reported in the news article.

Korea Institute of Psycho-education has discovered that the cause of infidelity is relationship addiction, and the victimized spouse develops post traumatic stress upon the discovery of spouse infidelity. Most people mistakenly attribute infidelity to individuals' problems of marriage, sex, and love. You may think that the problem of infidelity has nothing to do with your life, but the danger and damage due to infidelity can occur to anyone, anytime, and anywhere.

The wife's lover and suspect, Tsutomu Asano, is considered to be addicted to the lover's response due to perception disorder and expression disorder. He is also likely to have intermittent explosive disorder. The victim's wife and suspect, Yoko Sugai, is considered to be addicted to her lover's attention due to expression disorder and the disorder of memory of emotion. She is also likely to have hysteria. It is assumed that the victim discovered his wife's infidelity and developed post traumatic stress. The suspects may have been threatened by the victim over infidelity, and the suspects' intermittent explosive disorder and hysteria may have been activated to commit such an atrocious crime.

The cause of infidelity is relationship addiction. The man in infidelity continues with response addiction and intermittent explosive disorder, and the woman in infidelity with attention addiction and hysteria. Both men and women in infidelity may lose their sanity upon the trigger of the smallest stress and wound. When we understand the true mechanism of infidelity, we can minimize the danger and damage caused by infidelity, and find ways to restore psychological stability and regain happiness in a true sense.

The case reported in the news article shows us how serious the danger and damage of infidelity can be. It is family members who suffer the most from the consequences of infidelity, trying to cope with and solve the problem without accurately understanding the mechanism of infidelity. The victimized spouse must treat his or her own post traumatic stress before anything, and then can address the problem of  spouse infidelity. When the victimized spouse tries to address the problem of infidelity without treating post traumatic stress, his or her life can be seriously damaged, aggravating the condition of post traumatic stress and suffering from dire consequences.

It is recommended that spouses in infidelity and victimized spouses treat psychological disorders and rebuild the ability for happiness.
